Head lice do not jump, they walk, with speed. The reason head lice spread so quickly among children is because we keep them all seated together. Since lice can crawl down your jackets or scarves and gloves, they can easily be transferred from one body to another.
#2: Lice Don’t Like Short Hair
Lice aren’t picky when it comes to hair length. In truth, they prefer living closer to the hair shaft, so short hair is actually more comfy to them. However, getting rid of lice from long hair can be a fuss, especially since you might end up leaving a few lice behind. So while a buzz cut isn’t recommended, a long Rapunzel-like mane isn’t the best way to go either.

In truth, some people only start scratching their head if the skin reacts to the lice bites or the sticky glue that attaches the eggs to the strands.

#5: Adults Don’t Get Lice
Ask any parent and you’ll have your answer. Since lice aren’t fussy, they usually take refuge on any head they find. So even an adult doesn’t touch a lice-carrier, they may still be at risk of getting lice.
